Areas of Research

Research within the Energy Center focuses on the following five main areas:

1. Energy Efficiency;
2. Safe Nuclear Waste Storage;
3. Clean Coal Utilization;
4. CO2 Separation, Storage, Sequestration, and Use; and
5. Solar and Other Renewables.

Research within the newly established Sustainable Energy Initiative (SEI) focuses on the following three thrust areas:

1. Cleaner Fossil
2. Transformative Solar
3. Safer Nuclear
